Message from Naoki Shimizu(CREATIVEMAN PRODUCTIONS)

Shouting out proudly to the world with our very 1st line-up announcement!
Following last year, line-up once again is so strong that sold-out is inevitable.

There are no words to describe how excited I am to be able to announce this line-up including these 2 headliners.

For August 19th (Sat) Tokyo and 20th (Sun) Osaka, BLUR -the hottest topic of UK in 2023 who has sold out 2 days of their first performance in seven years at Wembley Stadium in seconds- will be back.

For August 19th (Sat) Osaka and 20th (Sun) Tokyo, Kendrick Lamar -who was nominated for 8 Grammys this year and is one of the most important artists in USA today- will invade Tokyo and Osaka for the first time.

On top of that, we have Liam Gallagher, who sold out 2 days of Knebworth Park with 100,000 capacities.
Excitingly, Fall Out Boy just gave us the green light to announce at the very last minute!
From Japan, Official Hige Dandism and YOASOBI who swept the charts last year, is standing firm on this ground.

From the many newcomer acts from this announcement, I suspect there could be the next Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa who were both unknown at the time they played Summer Sonic only a few years ago, yet they both achieved to leap gloriously.
Definitely please look forward to many more great artists to be announced later from Japan, Korea, and other Asian countries.

Our annual challenge for this year, is that we are keeping the art area from last year as is, while also working on a special collaboration to take place at one of our stages.
Of course, not to forget – we are working on a very much “MANIA”-ish line-up for our pre-event SONICMANIA too.

Countdown from mid-winter to Summer Sonic has just begun. Can you actually wait as long as six months??
In Japan, we have international music festivals such as Summer Sonic and Fuji Rock Festival which are both unique to our country. I strongly hope people from all over the world will be able to enjoy and experience what is only attainable here.
